Galway restaurateur criticises council for placing concrete slabs in outdoor dining area

James Fenton

JP McMahon of Aniar on Dominick Street in Galway has shared a picture of concrete slabs that were placed in his outdoor dining area by Galway City Council.

In a post on Instagram, JP wrote: ‘So this is Dominic street this morning. This was our only seating area. Now Galway City Council have left two huge concrete slabs in it. No dialogue. No imagination. We had space for 8 seats, now we may have 4. So angry. We can’t even put our our wind breakers. What is going on? We’re desperately trying to survive!’
